Giants fans shouldn’t hate on the DiamondBacks just because they were a better team this year. We had injuries galore, slumps everywhere. They were energetic, they were hitting. Baseball is baseball, hate doesn’t belong here. I won’t give up on the black and orange, but I might just give up on Tumblr.

The Rockies never go the fuck away whenever they’re in contention. The Padres (at least the fans, anyway), without a legit rival, like to share their rivalry hatred with both the Giants and the Dodgers. And need I say anything about the Dodgers?

Then when you look at the DiamondBacks, they are the least disliked rival team in the NL West. That holds true even when they are in contention like this year. While they are still a rival team, it’s still amazing at how much of a better team that they’ve become, especially when you compare them to their 2010 counterparts. They’ve done well.

As for the fans with their unjustifiable hate, please fully direct that anger to the team you root for. With this black hole of a historically bad offense, you don’t have anyone to blame for a playoff choke but the Giants. This year may have felt exceptionally horrible and embarrassing due to the fact that the Giants are defending champs, but it’s nowhere near as bad as the countless seasons this past decade.

The OP is definitely right. Even though I only gave up on Tumblr for about a week before I cracked from boredom, I still fucking hate the fanbase on here.
