Mota slammed for PEDs yet again.
Heath Hembree is doing fantastic with the Grizzlies. But he is, as of right now, a designated closer. Mota was the Giants’ go-to long-reliever, pretty much the only one in that bullpen that ate up innings whenever our starters were taken out early. I’d love to see Heath Hembree called up, believe me. But in addition to my personal belief that I wouldn’t want to see him rushed, this isn’t the situation where he would be a logical replacement.
We will see what will happen soon enough. However, with recent talk that the Giants might go with 11 pitchers when they re-activate Aubrey Huff, that might be their next move.
Huff packed, put on a suit and took a cab to the airport, where he bought a ticket for Tampa and lay along a wall at the gate, crouched on his bag, comforted by having other people around who could help him if he lost consciousness.
“I was shaking, sweating,” he said. “I was telling myself, ‘Just get on the plane. Just get on the plane.’ “
SF Giants fans, please read.
So Aubrey Huff played second base in the ninth inning today. A routine ground ball went to Burriss, and this happened.
In other non-perfecto baseball-related news, a bunch of fun stuff like this happened during the top and bottom of the 9th at Citi Field.
The Giants react to their walk off win!
Can I just point out Mota’s side-stepping across the length of the fucking screen in that 4th gif, flapping his arms? Omfg.

San Francisco Giants 2011 Walk-off Wins, #6 — May 20, Aubrey Huff
Jon Miller: “THAT’S A BASE HIT! Right-center field! Here comes Burriss! DeJesus air-lifts one. The Giants have won it! And Aubrey Huff, who has struggled so much in this 2011 season, gets that base hit; and the Giants have won another hard-fought, low-scoring battle at AT&T Park.”

According to Baggs and Hank Schulman:
C: Buster Posey (possibly Hector Sanchez as backup)
1B: Brandon Belt/Aubrey Huff/Buster Posey (against LHP on days off from catching)
2B: Freddy Sanchez
3B: Pablo Sandoval
SS: Brandon Crawford (possibly Emmanuel Burriss as a RH compliment)
LF: Aubrey Huff
CF: Melky Cabrera
RF: Nate Schierholtz
Before anyone freaks the hell out, there’s still a lot of off-season decisions to go through. This is only Bruce Bochy’s opinion of what he has now.

Oh boy, I love this! I love Huff’s stylish slide at home. Haha!
Just posted this on Twitter, but what the heck, I spent a whopping five minutes on this, so it must be shared. Now presenting Aubrey Huff’s home run with a soundtrack.
AUBREY HUFF YOU ARE THE MAN!!!!
Never forget.
As soon as I saw Huff in the thumbnail and heard the music, I already knew.

This day last year in Giants history: Buster Posey drives in Aubrey Huff and himself with a two-run homer in the 1st (sound familiar?).
The Giants, with the help of Tim Lincecum, beat Mat Latos and the Padres with a score of 6-1 at Petco Park.
