On June 14, 2012, Matt Cain of the San Francisco Giants pitched the 22nd perfect game in the history of Major League Baseball. Cain threw 125 pitches and whiffed fourteen Astros in his efforts (tying him with Sandy Koufax for number of strikeouts thrown in a perfect game). And in front of a crowd of 42,298 people, history was made.
