So, uh, not baseball related. But if I were to make it baseball related, I guess I can say that Andrew Susac was rooting for Jessica Sanchez tonight…

Anonymous asked: andrew susac was ejected from a game yesterday... rumors of suspension surfaced today. thoughts on it?

Minor leagues, first professional year of baseball, and he’s still pretty young. It’s all steam that he needs to work out if/when he ever makes it up with SF.

I mean, I don’t even really know the details about what exactly happened. Just that the benches cleared, and Andrew threw a punch. There’s worse that could have happened or what he could have done, and it’s not too much of a big deal (at the moment, anyway). If it becomes a common occurrence, then I’d be concerned. But to me, it doesn’t seem that Susac has too much of a rage/maturity issue.

Some kind stranger the other day gave me a free ticket to when the SJ Giants make the championship playoffs next week. Also gave me a team photo because his son won two.

There’s something about the minor league atmosphere that’s different from what you get from going to a major league park. The smaller amount of people that attend all share one common thing: an absolute love of baseball. They don’t care that they’re not watching the great, core players that are in the bigs. They appreciate the sport enough to just watch any kind of baseball, in a more casual atmosphere.

Whether they’re there to watch the farm system developing in action, or if they’re just there because they love watching any form of baseball, it’s just such a positive, friendly, and entertaining environment to be in. I don’t know how to fully explain it, but the atmosphere just seems so much open compared to when you go to a major league game.

I’m really appreciative to the friendly and nice fans I was able to just let loose and talk about baseball yesterday (especially considering that I went by myself), while cheering on the SJ Giants to their 13-1 win.

I love baseball.

HAVE A YEAR, GARY BROWN. NOW GET YOUR ASS PROMOTED UP THE FARM SYSTEM.
Congrats to everyone. So glad that at least part of the Giants organization has been successful. TIME FOR A THREE-PEAT, SAN JOSE!

Gary Brown

is having a night. Not only was he just named San Jose Offensive Player of the Year recently, but tonight he’s 4-for-4. Two doubles, two home runs, and 6 ribeyez as of right now through six innings. He now has 12 homers for the year and he brought up his average to .330.

I’d like to see him in San Francisco sooner than September 2012, please.

edit: Final — 5-for-5

Congratulations to Gary Brown for winning San Jose Giants Offensive Player of the Year. Brown leads the team in hits (165), triples (12), stolen bases (47), OBP (.394) and batting average (.325)…In fact, Brown’s 165 hits leads the California League and are good for third best in ALL of Minor League Baseball.

GURRRYYY BROWN.
